Victoria – About Me

I have taught in schools and been a tutor for over 20 years, from KS2 to A level.  I currently teach in a further education setting (16-19) as well as providing private tuition.

I am passionate about learning and helping my students succeed, with confidence and a positive outlook. I have been Head of Maths, Maths Lead and  am always looking for new teaching ideas to work with and beyond current curriculum requirements.

I have an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering, from Imperial College, London. I went on to work in the manufacturing industry, before returning to qualify as a teacher at Newcastle University.  I have a Current enhanced DBS check and upto date safeguarding training.

I moved to Derbyshire in 1999 and have my own family here, with my youngest having just sat her GCSE’s, so I have current personal experience of the difficulties facing students and their families.

I have 7 dogs and horses to keep me busy at home and I also enjoy art and history.
